Sometimes you know that a breakup is coming, but other times it just seems to come out of blue. If you are in a situation where you think that everything is going well, but then your significant other decides to walk out forever, you might be puzzled as to what has happened and what is going on. If you are in a situation where you are going over an old relationship or worried about a relationship that you are in right now, you’ll find that keeping a few things in mind can help you. There are definitely signs that a relationship is breaking up so keep an eye out for them.

1. A Drastic Change in Behavior
Have you noticed that your significant other has been acting a lot more differently than they were? Some people think that only a negative change in behavior is cause for concern, but the truth of the matter is that any change, for better or for worse, can be a sign of trouble to come. Of course if your significant other acts withdrawn, quiet or sullen that this is a problem, but so is change for the better. If they just “magically” feel more chipper and sweeter, take some time to figure out why this might have happened.

2. A Change in Appearance
Has your significant other started dressing up more, or taking better care of themselves? What’s more, are they hiding it from you or did they not talk about it with you much? If you have noticed this happening, there might be a chance that they are trying to look their best for someone else! When you are looking at a change in appearance, keep in mind the fact that you should keep your eyes open. Chances are, they want to surprise you with something, but it is up for grabs how pleasant the surprise might be!

3. Small Fights
While some couples do have fights that will simply get worse and worse, other couples will find that their fights start small and stay small. If you notice that you are having lots of little fights that don’t go anywhere, you might find that you are looking at small fights because both of you are afraid of the big ones. No matter how right breaking up is, it can be hard and scary thing to face, and one way that people try to delay it is to have small, supposedly “meaningless” fights.

4. Giving Up
Have you noticed that your significant other has stopped nagging or complaining about anything? While this can be a sign that she has started to accept you for who you are, there is a chance that she has also given up. If you are looking at a breakup, keep in mind that there is an element of giving up in it. If they decide that you are no longer worth the effort (or if you have decided that they are not) this can be a fairly strong sign of the relationship ending.
